El quadern daurat

Published in 1962, El quadern daurat is a brave and clairvoyant work, starring a young divorced novelist and mother of a little girl. Disillusioned by the failure of some romantic relationships and tormented by her inability to write again, the protagonist, to combat the personal crisis she is going through, writes her experiences in four different colored notebooks. There is, however, a fifth notebook, the golden one, which is the key to its recovery.
