El otro yo
Caunedo, Rafael
When Ángel Cué, a prestigious writer of international fame, is diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of sixty-seven, he decides to resign from public life. Before secluding himself on his farm forever, he entrusts his son Mateo to guard five manuscripts so that, once he can no longer recognize anyone, they will come to light. Three years later, Mateo is awarded one of the most prestigious literary prizes shortly before he is named Minister of Culture. Success is immediate, but when he finds himself at the zenith of his personal and professional life, he will enter a spiral of deceit and falsehoods that will make him go through the four years of his legislature ahead of him trying to keep his impostures hidden, while expanding , more and more, the distance between what it claims to be and what it really is.
