El mapa de los siete sellos
Morales, César
After almost two centuries, a beautiful illuminated codex returns to a female monastery located at the foot of the Cantabrian mountain range. The Blessed of San Andrés de Arroyo -now owned by the National Library of France- returns to the monastery that owned it for six hundred years. There have been countless steps necessary for the French authorities to authorize it. All efforts are considered well spent because the work is the star piece of an exhibition on which many hopes rest. However, the illusions generated will be truncated when, the night before the inauguration, the codex is mutilated. The theft of two pages containing a mysterious medieval world map triggers a race against time to recover a work of art that is much more than meets the eye. In the lines that represent cities, seas and mountains there is a message about the end of days that no one can read anymore and that many seem to wish. Miguel, a civil guard who has suffered a severe setback in his career, and Rocío, the daughter of a Sevillian scholar who disappeared the day before the robbery, will join forces to try to decipher it. Delving into the enigmas that shaped one of the most fascinating stages in our history, they will look for the keys that allow us to glimpse who is behind the coup. Their eagerness will drag them into an adventure in which distrust and intrigues weave a web without escape. Straddling Castilian and Andalusian lands, the couple will feel the breath of a danger, first diffuse, and later, concrete and sharp as a razor.
