El libro de Toji
III Premio Fundación Antonio Gala
Rojano, Antonio
"Toji's Book" is a journey that begins the day the author -Antonio Rojano himself- finds his name, by chance, linked to the life of a soldier of the Spanish Civil War. A self-fiction piece that immerses itself in the archives in search of memory and that, at the same time, is a valuable treatise on the art of writing, on the pitfalls that the creator has to overcome on his way. An artifact against silence, which shows that literature, with its -apparently- weak weapons, can restore peace and justice to those who deserved it. From a residence for writers in South Korea called Toji (in Spanish: earth), to a prison in Orduña, we accompany the journey of an identity that unfolds, that appears and disappears, like a ghost. A single wish: to cross the barrier that exists between the living and the dead, between us and our disappeared.
