When she arrives at her uncle's gloomy property in the mountains, where they raise border collies, Frida finds herself trapped in a world of pain: she has just lost her parents. Petrademone seems to be the ideal place for a new life. But very soon she will discover that strange and mysterious things happen in her new home: the town's dogs begin to disappear without leaving any trace, as if they had been devoured by an abyss. Frida discovers that there is something hidden under a mysterious oak tree in the garden, to which she is constantly drawn by a strange voice. Her aunt, in bed because she suffers from a strange illness, reveals to Frida a terrible family secret: Frida, like her mother, is a gatekeeper. But where do those doors lead? Nothing and no one is what it seems, powers are about to be revealed and parallel worlds about to collide.
