After the discovery of the body of a woman in the fountain of one of the most central squares in Copenhagen, Inspector Jeppe Kørner leads the investigation of a case that has the city in suspense. This time he cannot count on the help of his colleague Anette Werner, who is on leave after an unexpected maternity hospital that he cannot get used to. And neither with that of her friend, the writer Esther de Laurenti, who forgets the creative block that had her worried and feels motivated thanks to a new neighbor of hers. Soon Kørner stumbles upon an institution for young people with psychiatric problems run by people who have their own idea of what it means to take care of others.
