El hombre más feliz del mundo
la inspiradora historia de un superviviente del Holocausto que encontró la esperanza en el lugar menos esperado
Jaku, Eddie
Eddie Jaku considered himself a German rather than a Jew. He always took great pride in his country, until in 1938 he was arrested by the Nazis and transferred to one of their concentration camps. Although his training as an engineer granted him certain privileges, first at Buchenwald and later at Auschwitz, Eddie suffered unspeakable horrors. He lost his family, his friends, his country. During all those years, what kept him alive was his friend Kurt and the kindness of people. As a Holocaust survivor and to honor all those who were unable to do so, Eddie vowed to smile every day and live the rest of his life with gratitude. At 100 years old, Eddie assures that he feels like the happiest man in the world. In these moving memoirs he tells us the story of his survival and how, thanks to his optimism, he managed to overcome the greatest horrors and transform pain into hope.
