Economia en colors

Sala i Martin, Xavier

After the success of the television program Economia en colores, Sala i Martín wanted to expand the content of each chapter in this book with more information, more detail and a deeper analysis. Each chapter begins with a story that poses an economic enigma, follows an excursion through one of the eight fields of economics, which allows us to discover curious concepts and anecdotes, and ends with a conclusion that tries to solve the initial enigma. Thus, in Economics in Colors, Sala i Martín explains the secrets of economists, the tricks that are done in the stock market and the strategies of companies, and also asks what it means to be rich, how to have an idea, what it means "innovating", what human capital is all about, what the history of money is, and much more, all to bring the economy closer to the street. Because the economy, like the American ones of Xavier Sala and Martin, is full of colors.
