Despertar a l'infern
Cook, Kenneth
John Grant is a literature teacher in a village in deep Australia, and wants to take advantage of the school holidays to travel to Sydney. But to get there first he will have to spend the night in the town of Bundanyabba, and wait for the plane that will take him to the capital. Unfortunately the inquisitive hospitality of the people of Yabba, stubborn to invite him to beer, and a series of bad decisions, will turn that eve into a nightmare. The reader of this novel will be trapped in an inhospitable landscape as he walks in circles under a scorching sun, surrounded by brutal but generous characters, who seek their own way of surviving on this hostile continent.
