Appeared in 1911, we find ourselves before the most widespread theoretical text of Kandinsky, an aesthetic discourse that leads to the practice of non-figurative abstraction. Far from being a pragmatic text - it does not pretend to appeal to reason and the brain -, it is expressed in a language with clear oriental resonances, full of analogies, and seeks to solve the difficulties of written expression through sensory and linguistic associations. A work that, thanks to its great communicative power, has ended up exerting a profound and indisputable influence.
