Darwin en el desván
progreso, sumisión tecnológica y medios de comunicación
Balsebre, Armand
Vidal Carretero, Antoni
In the last hundred years, humanity has lived with technology in a relationship of progressive dependence. But since the end of the 20th century, the human being undergoes an induced metamorphosis that alters its nature. Smart technologies, as opposed to early electronic devices such as radio, create devices that mediate people's lives, invade their privacy, and introduce liquid socialization. The dispute for world hegemony between the United States and China, in addition to ignoring the sustainability of the planet, promotes and naturalizes the autonomy of artificial intelligence over humans. At this point we have to ask ourselves if the "machine" will continue to collaborate with all of us or will supplant us, leaving Darwin in the attic.
