Cuando brillan las estrellas

una historia inolvidable

Jamieson, Victoria
Mohamed, Omar

Hope, anguish and kind humor coexist in this graphic novel about the childhood that Omar and his brother Hassán lived in a UN refugee camp in Kenya. Life there is hard, as there is never enough food and access to medical care is limited, and Hassán stopped talking when they left Somalia because of the war. It is then that Omar has the opportunity to go to school, something that gives his life a hopeful vision of the future. This book is necessary, because it represents an intimate, important and real look at the daily life of a refugee child.
