Magnificent speaker, Xabier P. DoCampo possessed a special mastery of telling stories aloud. "The stories I like the most are the ones that were born to be told orally", he would say; and so these "Tales of Objects" were created, eight hitherto unpublished stories that DoCampo liked to tell, showing at the precise moment some central object in the development of the plot. Objects that Daniel Puente Bello recreated in the careful photographs that illustrate the book. Reality and fiction, writing and orality, tradition and actuality coexist in this fact of stories that dialogue with the writing of the great Galician classics of short narrative, such as Rafael Dieste, Ánxel Fole or Álvaro Cunqueiro.
