For decades, the Burroughs clan ruled Bull Mountain at their whim: they trafficked liquor all over Georgia, grew marijuana, and supplied methamphetamine to six states. But now that has gone down in history and Clayton Burroughs goes above and beyond to go on: as a sheriff, with his recent paternity and convalescence after being shot the previous year during the confrontation in which his two brothers died. But rival clans, hovering like predators, have already begun to move, eager to restore the flow of drugs and cash. An unforeseen death will precipitate events, leading the wolves directly to Clayton's door. To save his mountain and his family, he will need to find a way to, while remaining on the side of the law, bury once and for all the bloody legacy of his past.
