Casi nada que ponerte
Lijtmaer, Lucía
Almost nothing to make you part of a true story: that of two people who grew up in dusty towns and closed environments, but decided to go off to conquer the big city. They, Jorge and Simón, seduced the Buenos Aires of the early 1970s and made gold creating a world of fashion and luxury based on picaresque. His rise and fall is a miniature portrait of a country always in crisis, always a victim of its fascination with itself. But this book also tells the story of the narrator herself, Lucía Lijtmaer, a Barcelonan with a Polish last name and born in Argentina. An investigation into how an identity is built from fragments of diverse cultures and divergent stories. Throughout these pages, written as a chronicle, a heterogeneous group made up of couturiers, merchants, models, decorators, B-series actresses and millionaire clients talk with the author. It would seem that, in some way, they revive or represent for her a glorious past that perhaps was or could have been.
