Yukio Tanaka, known to all as Koyuki, is a fourteen-year-old boy who is dissatisfied with the direction his monotonous life seems to be taking at the moment. However, everything will turn upside down when the young man saves a strange-looking dog from some pimps and meets his owner, Minami Ryûsuke. Apparently, he is a sixteen-year-old star guitarist who has just returned from the United States and whose rock band has disbanded. After listening to some borrowed tapes, the music of the West begins to take a toll on Koyuki, so he decides to sign up for guitar lessons.
