Aventuras matemáticas

Since the publication in Spain of the first version, in 1987, of Mathematical Adventures, the work has been successively translated into four other languages: French, Portuguese, Finnish and Chinese. This constitutes a milestone in the scientific popularization literature of our country. Mathematical Adventures tries to stimulate in those who enter them the taste for active participation in various aspects of mathematical creativity, as well as the appropriate attitude to mathematical challenges at all levels. This new edition has been substantially enriched with four essays dedicated to topics of current interest, such as mathematical chaos, fractals, Fermat's theorem and open-key cryptography, and with another that tries to help in the understanding of the theorem of Gödel, one of the most profound results of 20th century mathematics.
