Three years after the end of the Civil War in the United States, the story of the March sisters continues: the eldest, Meg, is about to get married, so her early departure from the family home is expected; Jo is still dedicated to literature and, in fact, has managed to get several of her texts published in local newspapers; little Amy, in turn, is passionate about painting; and the shy Beth, however, is the victim of a more lonely destiny than the others, always marked by illness. What is the future that awaits the March sisters?
