Albatros

Albatros is the poetic story of a journey and an encounter. Through an ambiguity of voices that intersect, sometimes touching the terrain of legend and the mythical past, sometimes closer to the present and the voice of the author herself, we witness the old struggle between reality and desire. There is a latent tension between the claustrophobic world of the house -of the room- and the possible worlds, which through the imagination are presented as a mosaic of landscapes of overflowing nature. The desire for liberation finds its greatest incentive in that cold and humid landscape, inhabited by all types of animals, from birds of incalculable dimensions to fictitious beings, including whales, ancient sharks, wolves and prehistoric bears. With a simple language, loaded with symbolism, as well as musicality and color, Nuria Ortega Riba undertakes a journey through the word, through the flight of the immense albatross; a journey that, like all great journeys, ends with a revelation.
