Alarico, el rey de los godos
Alascio, Blas
363 AD After the battle of Ctesiphon, Marco Probo decides to settle in Dacia, a territory occupied by the Goths north of the Danube border. There, thanks to his career as a soldier and philosopher, he becomes the first tutor of Alaric, whose birth during an eclipse has sparked the legend that he will be the one who will be able to unite the Gothic nation and form the largest empire ever known. However, Alaric soon finds himself separated from his family when, after a bloody war, Emperor Valens imposes humiliating conditions on the Gothic people, who desperately ask for refuge from the threat of the Huns. Along with the sons of fifty other Gothic leaders, Alaric is taken hostage by the empire and must live in exile in Alexandria, Athens and Constantinople, cities where he will be educated among philosophers. These years will mark his love for Rome, but they will also make him the most fearsome of his enemies.
