Mosley, Walter

Los Angeles, 1969. A young ex-soldier arrives at Easy Rawlins' office who was not long ago fighting in the jungle of Vietnam. He needs help because he has stabbed a black man who was attacking a girl and thinks he killed him. He does not know for sure, since in the fray someone beat him and knocked him unconscious. Normally, Easy would never take a case like this, with little to gain and much to lose, but he feels a strange affinity with his potential client. Although he knows it is a serious mistake, he cannot help but make it.
