"The tree that sheds tears of Shiva" is born of dispossession, of unlearning. In the view of the sacred is the temple the tree, the painted stone, the most delicate Mughal jewel. The poet lives within himself the timeless human. He feels the helplessness of the "invisibles", hurt by his gaze to the point of hurting him and making him bleed. From the inside of the language born of his own language, he names what remains, approaches the goddesses who overcome ignorance with knowledge, and discovers the terrifying beauty and continual tearing of places where man can disappear in the infinite cruelty of patriarchy.
