21 cineastas españoles
entrevistas
Torres, Augusto M.
During the seventies, eighties and nineties of the 20th century, and even in the first decade of the 21st century, the writer, director and producer Augusto M. Torres dialogues with outstanding world filmmakers. In "21 Spanish filmmakers (interviews)" he brings together a varied selection of directors, screenwriters, producers, actors and technicians to build a peculiar, original and coherent picture of Spanish cinema in the second half of the 20th century. From the forgotten of the harshest post-war period and the interesting one of the years of the Transition to the one born from the cinematographic policy of the socialists. A vision far from the traditional, the usual, what is always considered politically correct, which usually appears reflected in the histories of cinema. A set of interviews where various professionals talk about their lives, their films and their relationship with a medium as specific as film. Made at special moments in their respective careers, they are prefaced by original portraits and trajectories of each one, as well as a succession of considerations on the relationship between the interviewer and the interviewee and between these and a cinema as specific as Spanish during those decades.
